“Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story” Final Season Delayed Until Spring 2022
The official website for “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story” anime announced today that the Final Season will be delayed until Spring 2022 due to production reasons.
The third season titled “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Final Season - Dawn of Light Dreams”, was previously set to be released at the end of 2021. No further details were given on the delay.
The anime is a spin-off TV series to the cult-classic “Puella Magi Madoka Magica”. “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story” Season 1 was released in 2020 and is based on the game of the same name from Aniplex. The second season titled “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Season 2 - The Eve of Awakening -” aired during the Summer 2021 anime season and was simulcast on Funimation, Crunchyroll and HIDIVE.

The original 12-episode TV anime “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” was released in 2011 and can currently be streamed on Funimation, Crunchyroll, HBO Max, Hulu and Netflix in subtitles and English dubbing.
Recently, a new “Madoka Magica” anime film was announced. The new film will be called “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising-” and will be a sequel to the 2013 film “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion”.
“Puella Magi Madoka Magica” manga is currently being published by Yen Press in the US.
