“Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Season 2” Releases New Teaser Trailer

The official Twitter for “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Season 2” released a new promotional video to tease the upcoming premiere this Saturday.

The new trailer previews the anime's opening theme song "Careless" by ClariS.

Funimation, Crunchyroll, and HIDIVE recently announced the streaming rights to “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Season 2 - The Eve of Awakening -”. Funimation will begin the simulcast on July 31, 2021 as it premiere’s in Japan. Crunchyroll and HIDIVE will then stream the fantasy series weekly starting on August 7, 2021.

The anime is a spin-off TV series to the cult-classic “Puella Magi Madoka Magica”. The cast and staff from season 1 will be returning for the second season along with SHAFT handling the animation. The previously released key visual for season 2 was accompanied with the tagline “The price of a wish, is it hope or despair?”.

A third season entitled “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Final Season - Dawn of Light Dreams” was recently announced for end of 2021.

“Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story” Season 1 was released in 2020 and is based on the game of the same name from Aniplex. The 12-episode series is currently streaming on Funimation, Crunchyroll and HIDIVE in subtitles and English dubbing on Funimation.

The original 12-episode TV anime “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” was released in 2011 and can currently be streamed on Funimation, Crunchyroll, HBO Max, Hulu and Netflix in subtitles and English dubbing.

“Puella Magi Madoka Magica” Synopsis: She has a loving family and best friends, laughs and cries from time to time… Madoka Kaname, an eighth grader of Mitakihara middle school, is one of those who lives such a life. One day, she had a very magical encounter. She doesn't know if it happened by chance or by fate yet. This is a fateful encounter that can change her destiny. This is a beginning of the new story of the magical witch girls.

Recently, a new “Madoka Magica” anime film was announced. The new film will be called “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten” and will be a sequel to the 2013 film “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion”.

“Puella Magi Madoka Magica” manga is currently being published by Yen Press in the US.
