Game Developer YuriEureka Announces Yuri Visual Novel “Kiss the Demiurge”

Indie game developer and publisher YuriEureka announced their first Yuri visual novel “Kiss the Demiurge”. The dark comedy VN is set to be released in Fall 2022.

YuriEureka describes the visual novel as "darkly comedic" and the game will “explore themes of love, repression and the nature of truth”. “Kiss the Demiurge” is currently available to add to your wish list on Steam.

The single-player game features three routes and approximately 15 hours of reading in English subtitles with a Mature Content warning.

Story Synopsis: “Minori is a mage who hates magic. She views it as a chaotic force of nature that can only bring destruction and has dedicated her life to hiding it from the world. She has spurned friendship, family, and even love in pursuit of this goal. Minori doesn't even view herself as a human being. Nothing more than a machine with the single goal of purifying the world and humanity of magic.

Minori investigates a fire at a local high school that she suspects to have been caused by magic. There, she just so happens to spy a poster advertising a magic club, dedicated to "Studying and spreading magic across the world."

The very sight of the poster makes Minori's blood boil. She immediately transfers schools so that she can infiltrate and investigate the club. There she meets Akane, Chitori, and Tomoko. Three delusional girls obsessed with magic. Fortunately for Minori, none of them understand how magic truly works. And it's Minori's job to make sure it stays that way.

Will Minori be able to destroy the club before they learn about true magic? Or will Minori be charmed by the club members, and let down her heart's guard?”

The characters include:

“Minori” works tirelessly to keep the world safe from magic. She considers herself to be a machine whose personal feelings are irrelevant. But even the stoic Minori has a sensitive side. She feels great attraction towards other girls, which she views as a distraction. But how long will she be able to suppress those feelings for?

“Akane” is the self-proclaimed leader of the club. She claims that she's descended from an ancient line of magical samurai and will proudly boast of this heritage to anyone who'll listen. She's certain that one day the world will understand her genius, and give her family the respect they deserve.

“Chitori” is a shy fortune teller. She would like for nothing more than the world to leave her alone with her books. Whether it's tarot cards, astrology, or a crystal ball, she'll use whatever she can to predict the future and avoid any unwanted surprises.

The elegant and beautiful “Tomoko” claims to be a spirit medium who regularly speaks to the spirits of the dead. She's always eager to help people connect with the spirits of deceased friends and family. Perhaps a little bit too eager...
