“Yuki Yuna Is A Hero” Season 3 To Stream On HIDIVE

HIDIVE announced Friday that “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero” Season 3 is set to be a part of their Fall 2021 Anime Lineup. The streamer will simulcast the upcoming third season, known as “Yuki Yuna is a Hero: The Great Mankai Chapter” (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Dai Mankai no Shou), starting on October 1, 2021.

HIDIVE will stream “Yuki Yuna is a Hero: The Great Mankai Chapter” to audiences in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Scandinavia, Netherlands, South Africa, Portugal, Spain, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

Sentai Filmworks recently announced the acquisition of the streaming and home video rights to “Yuki Yuna is a Hero” franchise including seasons 1, 2 and 3 as well as “Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Churutto!”, a collection of shorts set in the universe of the main series.

Season 3 Synopsis: The magical girls of the Sanshu Middle School Hero Club have one goal: to make people smile whenever they can and to always help those in need. Through teamwork and the help of their magical powers, Yuna, Mimori, Fuu, Itsuki, Karin and Sonoko have vanquished deadly Vertexes, recovered a missing friend and balanced their lives as magical girls and regular middle school students. Now a new adventure begins, one that will test their skills and their bond as friends alike.

The new anime season, known in Japan as “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero: Great Full Blossom Chapter” (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Dai Mankai no Shou), was announced in August 2020 on the 6th anniversary of the franchise and will be a direct sequel to “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero: The Hero Chapter”.

The original staff and voice cast will return with Studio Gokumi handling the animation. The series stars Haruka Terui as “Yuna Yuki”, Suzuko Mimori as “Mimori Togo”, Yumi Uchiyama as “Fu Inubozaki”, Tomoyo Kurosawa as “Itsuki Inubozaki”, Juri Nagatsuma as “Karin Miyoshi” and Kana Hanazawa as “Nogi Sonoko”.

The first season originally premiered in 2014 with 12 episodes and can currently be streamed on Crunchyroll. The second season, which premiered in 2017, was split between a 6-episode prequel, “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero: The Washio Sumi Chapter”, and a 6-episode sequel, “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero: The Hero Chapter”. Recently, “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero Churutto!” short anime series premiered in Japan. In addition to the anime, the franchise includes manga, light novels and video games.
