Yuri Anime “The Executioner and Her Way of Life” Reveals Additional Cast

The official website for “The Executioner and Her Way of Life” anime revealed three additional characters and cast members. The fantasy Yuri series is currently being simulcast on HIDIVE as part of their Spring 2022 Anime Season.

The new characters and cast members include:

Manaka Iwami as “Manon”, the only daughter of Count Libert and has been acting as the main deputy since he fell ill. She wears a kimono and her gestures and tone are graceful.

Anzu Haruno as “a mysterious little girl”,

Akeno Watanabe as “Sicilia”, the priest of the port town of Ribert. It seems that she knows Flare, but the details are unknown.

The anime stars Iori Saeki as “Menou”, the Executioner, Moe Kahara as “Akari”, the Lost One, Hisako Kanemoto as “Momo”, the executioner's assistant, and M.A.O as “Ashuna”, the wandering princess knight.

The anime is an adaptation of the award winning light novel series “The Executioner and Her Way of Life”, known in Japan as “Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road”, written by Mato Sato and illustrated by nilitsu. J.C. Staff is handling the animation production with Yoshiki Kawasaki as director. The girl love drama anime premiered on April 1, 2022.

The opening theme song is "Paper Bouquet" by Mili and ChouCho is performs the ending theme song "Touka Serenade".

“The Executioner and Her Way of Life” Synopsis: When inter-dimensional travelers from an otherworldly land known as “Japan” appear, they often bring death and destruction. It’s up to Executioners like Menou to track and exterminate the Lost Ones before they wreak havoc. When Menou encounters a beguiling Lost One named Akari, it’s bloody business as usual… until Menou discovers Akari can cheat death, that is. Even so, Menou has a job to do, and she is committed to her executioner’s mission come hell or high water — provided her newly stirring feelings don’t get in the way.

Warner Bros. Japan officially announced the TV series in January at the GA Fest 2021 event. The light novels are currently being published in Japan by SB Creative under their GA Bunko imprint after winning the grand prize at the GA Bunko Awards in 2018. A manga adaptation was launched in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine in June 2020.

“The Executioner and Her Way of Life” light novels and manga are currently being published in English by Yen Press. Volume 5 of the light novel and volume 1 of the manga are set to be both released on September 20, 2022.

Yen Press Synopsis: The Lost Ones are wanderers who come here from a distant world known as "Japan." No one knows how or why they leave their homes. The only thing that is certain is that they bring disaster and calamity. The duty of exterminating them without remorse falls to Menou, a young Executioner. When she meets Akari, it seems like just another job...until she discovers it's impossible to kill this girl! And when Menou begins to search for a way to defeat this immortality, Akari is more than happy to tag along! So begins a journey that will change Menou forever...
