“The Executioner and Her Way of Life” Synopsis: When inter-dimensional travelers from an otherworldly land known as “Japan” appear, they often bring death and destruction. It’s up to Executioners like Menou to track and exterminate the Lost Ones before they wreak havoc. When Menou encounters a beguiling Lost One named Akari, it’s bloody business as usual… until Menou discovers Akari can cheat death, that is. Even so, Menou has a job to do, and she is committed to her executioner’s mission come hell or high water — provided her newly stirring feelings don’t get in the way.

The anime is an adaptation of the award winning light novel series “The Executioner and Her Way of Life”, known in Japan as “Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road”, written by Mato Sato and illustrated by nilitsu. J.C. Staff is handling the animation production with Yoshiki Kawasaki as director. The opening theme song will be "Paper Bouquet" by Mili and ChouCho is performing the ending theme song "Touka Serenade".

The anime stars Iori Saeki as “Menou”, the Executioner, Moe Kahara as “Akari”, the Lost One, Hisako Kanemoto as “Momo”, the executioner's assistant, and M.A.O as “Ashuna”, the wandering princess knight.

Warner Bros. Japan officially announced the TV series in January at the GA Fest 2021 event. The light novels are currently being published in Japan by SB Creative under their GA Bunko imprint and won the grand prize at the GA Bunko Awards in 2018. A manga adaptation was launched in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine in June 2020.

“The Executioner and Her Way of Life” light novels are currently being published in English by Yen Press. Volume 4 was released on April 19, 2022.
