Seven Seas Licenses “Kimi to Shiranai Natsu ni Naru” Yuri Manga Series

Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced the license acquisition of the Yuri manga series “Kimi to Shiranai Natsu ni Naru” (Throw Away the Suit Together) by Keyyang.

Seven Seas describes the manga as a “yuri/Girls’ Love romance” about “two college girls under too much pressure leave city life–by running away to an island together!”. The manga was first serialized in Ichijinsha's iconic “Comic Yuri Hime” magazine in 2021. The Yuri series has 2 volumes in print in Japan. The manga’s creator posted on their Twitter (below) last month that the series is set to end in the September 2023 Issue of Yuri Hime.

Seven Seas “Kimi to Shiranai Natsu ni Naru” Synopsis: Haru and Hii-chan are two young women in college buckling under the weight of adult responsibilities. Getting into university, then job hunting, then preparing for careers after graduation–it’s what they’re expected to do, because that’s what “everyone” does, but what do they really want for themselves? Finally, Haru and Hii-chan decide to take life into their own hands, toss their resumes into the sea, and move to an island together! They soon find that island living isn’t all blue skies and breezing through sunny days…but whatever the future holds, they can face it together.

“Kimi to Shiranai Natsu ni Naru” Volume 1 will be released for the first time in North America as single volumes in print and on digital platforms in July 2024 for $13.99 USA / $17.99 CAN. The volumes will be a part of the Seven Seas GL label (Girls’ Love titles).
