Seven Seas Licenses “How Do I Get Together With My Childhood Friend?” Yuri Manga Series

Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced the license acquisition of the Yuri manga series “How Do I Get Together With My Childhood Friend?” by Syu Yasaka.

Seven Seas describes the manga as a “a light and cozy yuri rom-com”. Known in Japan as “Doushitara Osananajimi no Kanojo ni Naremasu ka!?”, the manga was first serialized in Takeshobo's Storia Dash in 2022. The on-going Girls Love manga series currently has 2 volumes in print in Japan. Manga artist Syu Yasaka is best known for creating the Yuri manga series “Monologue Woven For You”, which also was licensed by Seven Seas and is available in English in print.

Seven Seas “How Do I Get Together With My Childhood Friend?” Synopsis: Minami and Yuzu have been inseparable since elementary school. But now that they’re in high school, Minami just can’t accept that Yuzu may someday get a boyfriend. How come some random guy gets to wake her up in the morning, feed her lunch, take baths with her...? It doesn’t take long for Minami to realize that her feelings can’t quite be described as “friendship” anymore, but how can she get Yuzu to see her the same way?

“How Do I Get Together With My Childhood Friend?” Volume 1 will be released for the first time in North America as single volumes in print and on digital platforms in March 2024 for $13.99 USA / $17.99 CAN. The volumes will be a part of the Seven Seas GL label (Girls’ Love titles).
