“Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games” TV Anime Set To Premiere July 7

The official website for “Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games” announced that the Yuri TV anime is set to premiere on July 7, 2026. Crunchyroll will simulcast the Girls Love anime as it airs in Japan as part of their Summer 2026 Anime Season.

Based on the manga by Eri Ejima, “Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games” (Tai Ari Deshita: Ojō-sama wa Kakutō Game Nante Shinai) anime stars Ikumi Hasegawa as ‘Aya Mitsuki’ and Kana Ichinose as ‘Mio Yorue’. Shota Ihata is directing the anime at Diomedéa with Kana Hashiguchi drawing the character designs. Wataru Watari is handling the series composition and Kana Hashiguchi composing the music. “Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games” was originally set to premiere in 2025, but the production committee decided to delay the release.

The series will feature a collaboration with the video game “Street Fighter 6” and footage will be used as the main game for the series. The “Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games” manga was first serialized by Comic Flapper in 2020 in Japan. The manga currently has 10 volumes.

Publisher Seven Seas is releasing the manga in English. Volume 10 is set to be released December 22, 2026.
