Original Anime “Lycoris Recoil” Releases 2 Character Promo Videos

The official website for the original anime “Lycoris Recoil” released two character promotional videos tease the upcoming series. The fantasy anime is set to premiere in July 2022.

According to the anime’s website, the series follows a smiley signboard girl, “Chisato Nishikigi”, and a serious newcomer, “Takina Inoue”, as they work in a Japanese cafe called “Riko Riko” in downtown Tokyo. From delicious coffee and sweets, to zombie extermination, and dealing with giant monsters, they will handle any trouble for their customers.

The first promo video features the character “Chisato Nishikigi”, played by Chika Anzai. A girl who always smiles and enjoys today from tomorrow. She is fragile, easy to be deceived, enjoys everything, and does not hurt. She likes detours, detours, and troubles.

The second promo video features “Takina Inoue”, played by Shion Wakayama. A girl with a cool pay-for-performance personality. She hates irrational deeds, everything is smart and lean! However, she is naive and insensitive to fashion. She is the new cafe staff member.

A-1 Pictures is producing the project with Shingo Adachi (Sword Art Online) as director. The anime is an original story by Asaura, and Imigimuru will be handling the character design. Adachi will be making his director debut. The anime stars Chika Anzai as “Chisato Nishikigi”, Shion Wakayama as “Takina Inoue”, Ami Koshimizu as “Mizuki Nakahara”, Misaki Kuno as “Kurumi”, and Kosuke Sakaki as “Mika”.
