“Management of Novice Alchemist” Anime Reveals New Key Art And Promo Video

The official website for the anime “Management of Novice Alchemist” (Shinmai Renkinjutsushi no Tenpo Keiei) revealed new key art and promotional video for the upcoming series. The fantasy anime is set to premiere in October 2022.

The new trailer previews the opening theme "Hajimaru Welcome" (Starting Welcome) by Aguri Onishi. In addition, the official website announced that the ending theme song will be "Fine Days" by Nanaka Suwa (Kanan in “Love Live! Sunshine!!”).

“Management of Novice Alchemist” stars:

Kanon Takao as “Sarasa Feed”,

Hina Kino as “Lorea”, the daughter of a general store owner who is curious about Sarasa when she arrives in the remote village.

Saori Onishi as “Iris Lotze”, a collector who is sincere and serious, but tends to inadvertently cause trouble. Her skill of the sword is decent.

and Nanaka Suwa as “Kate Starven”, a collector who is a childhood friend and companion of Iris.

According to the website, “The story follows Sarasa, a new alchemist, who was raised in an orphanage and dreams of opening a store like her late parents. As a graduation gift from her training school teacher, Sarasa receives a vacant store in a remote village. Sarasa is thrilled that her dream has came true earlier than planned, but what is waiting for her is a tattered store. Sarasa struggles in a strange land with her trained swordsmanship as a weapon. She must learn unfamiliar communication, get rid of monsters to collect dangerous materials, and train herself on the abundant knowledge and high magical power to live the life as an upstanding alchemist.”

Studio ENGI will be handling the animation with Hiroshi Ikehata as director. Series composition will be handled by Shigeru Murakoshi with music by Harumi Fuuki. Character designs will be done by Yosuke Ito, who also serves as chief animation director. The anime is based on the light novels launched in 2018 by Mizuho Itsuki. Fantasia Bunko is currently publishing the light novels in Japan and Comic Valkyrie is serializing the manga adaptation by artist kirero.
