Funimation Set To Release “Otherside Picnic” On Blu-ray
Funimation announced recently that the Yuri anime “Otherside Picnic” will be released on Blu-ray. The sci-fi series is set to be released on March 29, 2022.
“Otherside Picnic - The Complete Season” Blu-ray will include all 12 episodes in English dubbing and Japanese subtitles. Extra features will include a promo video, commercials, textless opening song, and textless closing song versions 1 and 2. The Blu-ray is currently available for pre-order on Funimation.
Funimation Synopsis: Moments from death, Sorawo is saved by the mysterious Toriko in the Otherside. Discovering a beautiful but monster-filled dimension, they set out to explore this nightmare realm together. What they encounter could bring enlightenment—or drive them mad!
Based on the Yuri light novels by Iori Miyazawa, “Otherside Picnic” (Urasekai Picnic) was released in January 2021 and was simulcast as it aired in Japan on Funimation. The anime was produced by studio LIDENFILMS and Felix Film with Takuya Satou as director. The anime stars Hanamori Yumiri as “Kamikoshi Sorawo” and Kayano Ai as “Nishina Toriko”. The English dub stars voice actors Madeleine Morris as “Sorawo” and Neves Emily as “Toriko”.
J-Novel Club is currently publishing the “Otherside Picnic” light novels in English. Volume 7 of the light novels is set to be released digitally on June 7, 2022. Square Enix is currently publishing the manga series in English. Volume 2 of the manga is set to be released on April 26, 2022.
