Funimation Announces “Adachi and Shimamura” Blu-ray Release Date
Funimation announced this week that Yuri anime “Adachi and Shimamura” will be released on Blu-ray. The romance slice-of-life series is set to be released on February 1, 2022.
“Adachi and Shimamura - The Complete Season” Blu-ray will include all 12 episodes in English dubbing and Japanese subtitles. Extra features will include a short anime, character videos, promo videos, textless opening song, and textless closing song. The Blu-ray is currently available for pre-order on Funimation.

Produced by Tezuka Productions, “Adachi and Shimamura” TV anime series premiered in Fall 2020 and was simulcast as it aired in Japan on Funimation. In February 2021, the English dubbing was announced and both versions are currently available to stream on Funimation. The anime stars Kitou Akari as “Adachi Sakura” and Itou Miku as “Shimamura Hougetsu”. The English dub stars voice actors Megan Shipman as “Adachi” and AmaLee as “Shimamura”.
“Adachi and Shimamura” is based on the light novels written by Hitoma Iruma and illustrated by Non. Seven Seas Entertainment is currently publishing the light novels under their Airship imprint and recently released volume 7 on November 16, 2021. Yen Press is currently publishing the manga written by Hitoma Iruma and illustrated by Moke Yuzuhara and recently released volume 2 on October 5, 2021.
