“Birdie Wing -Golf Girls’ Story-” Anime Announces Season 2
The official website for “Birdie Wing -Golf Girls’ Story-” announced today that the original anime will be getting a second season. Season 2 is set to premiere in January 2023.
The news was officially announced following the airing of episode 13 in Japan. In addition, Crunchyroll announced that the anime will continue to be simulcast on the streamer and Season 2 will be a part of their Winter 2023 Anime Season. Crunchyroll will simulcast “Birdie Wing -Golf Girls’ Story-” to audiences in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
Crunchyroll Synopsis: Fore! After Eve’s first meet-up with Aoi on the grass left her in defeat, she’s had her eyes set on a rematch to return the favor. Both these up-and-coming golfers are highly skilled, highly unique and most of all, highly competitive. With dreams of making it pro, a rivalry is getting in full swing as they both battle it out in the biggest tournaments.
“Birdie Wing -Golf Girls’ Story-” Season 1 premiered on April 5, 2022 and all 13 episodes can currently be streamed on Crunchyroll. The anime stars Akari Kito as “Eve” and Asami Seto as “Aoi”. The story is described as “a youth story centering on two young women golfers named Eve and Aoi Amawashi. The two come from completely different backgrounds, and have the completely opposite play styles, and together they will shake the world of golf.”
Takayuki Inagaki is directing the series with Yousuke Kuroda as scriptwriter. Bandai Namco Pictures is producing the anime in association with the Global Golf Media Group Company.
