“Super Cub” Anime To Stream On Funimation

Funimation announced today the exclusive streaming rights to the motorcycle anime “Super Cub”. The new anime will be a part of Funimation’s Spring 2021 lineup and will begin simulcast on April 7, 2021.

Funimation Synopsis: This new slice of life series follows the lonely Koguma whose life is turned upside down when she gets her hands on a used Honda Super Cub motorcycle. This new mode of transportation takes her to new heights, and brings about friendships she never expected!

Based on the light novel series by Tone Koken and illustrated by Hiro, the anime will be produced by Studio KAI. The series will star Yuki Yomichi as Koguma, Ayaka Nanase as Reiko, and Natsumi Hioka as Shii Eniwa.

Akane Kumada will perform the anime’s opening theme song "Mahō no Kaze" (Magical Wind) and the main cast members will perform the ending theme song "Haru e no Dengon" (A Message to the Wind). Kadokawa has published 6 books in the light novel series since May 2017. The light novel has also been made into a manga by Kanitan.

The series will stream on Funimation in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom and Ireland; on AnimeLab in Australia and New Zealand; and on Wakanim in France, Russia and Scandinavia.
