“RWBY: Ice Queendom” Anime Reveals New Key Visual And Promo Video

The official website for the “RWBY: Ice Queendom” revealed a new key visual and promotional video ahead of the anime’s fourth episode. The fantasy anime is currently being simulcast on Crunchyroll and Rooster Teeth as it airs in Japan.

According to the anime’s website, the story will now enter original territory with “Untold tales of RWBY” starting with Episode 4. A special compilation of Episodes 1-3 was released early on June 24, 2022 on Crunchyroll. The anime also went on to keep the original release date of July 3, 2022 for the TV slot in Japan and Crunchyroll has simulcast the individual episodes as well.

“RWBY: Ice Queendom” is directed by Toshimasa Suzuki at studio SHAFT. The series is produced by Bandai Namco Arts alongside Good Smile Company and Rooster Teeth. The opening theme song "Beyond Selves" is performed by Void_Chords feat. L and the ending theme song is "Awake" by Saori Hayami.

The original “RWBY” Japanese and English dub cast are reprising their roles for the new anime. The cast includes: Lindsay Jones (EN) and Saori Hayami (JP) as “Ruby Rose”, Kara Eberle (EN) and Yoko Hikasa (JP) as “Weiss Schnee”, Arryn Zech (EN) and Yu Shimamura (JP) as “Blake Belladonna”, and Barbara Dunkelman (EN) and Ami Koshimizu (JP) as “Yang Xiao Long”.

Synopsis: In the world of Remnant, a place where science and fairy tales coexist, human civilization is plagued by deadly monsters known as the Grimm. For a time, victory by the Grimm seemed all but certain, if not for the heroism of those sworn to protect humanity -- Huntsmen and Huntresses. These warriors are trained and assembled into teams at schools like Beacon Academy, where Ruby meets Weiss and Blake -- forming Team RWBY along with Ruby’s sister, Yang. While team RWBY studies to become the greatest Huntresses the world of Remnant has ever known, they are faced with a horrifying threat...

The original “RWBY” web animated series by the late creator Monty Oum follows four girls with unique weapons and powers who are training to hunt supernatural "Creatures of Grimm". The original “RWBY” is available to stream on Crunchyroll.

Viz Media published the “RWBY: The Official Manga” series and the “RWBY: Official Manga Anthology Manga” series in English.
