The official website for the “Laid-Back Camp” (Yuru Camp) franchise revealed a fifth new teaser visual for the upcoming film featuring the character “Ena Saito”. The anime movie is set to be released on July 1, 2022 in Japan.

According to the website, each main character will get their own "behind the scenes" visual of their daily lives. The fifth visual featured the character “Ena Saito” and her pet dog “Chikuwa” sitting in a train station.

The fourth visual featured the character “Aoi Inuyama” aka “Inuko” as she gazed at the mountains and cherry blossoms through a window.

The third visual showed “Chiaki Ogaki” sitting and drinking water during a break from being in a mascot costume during a cherry blossom festival.

The second visual showed “Rin” as she walked in the cold at night on a bridge in the city.

The first character visual released featured “Nadeshiko” as she hung out her washing.

A previously released teaser visual showed the five main cast members, who are reprising their roles, including: Touyama Nao as “Shima Rin”, Hanamori Yumir as “Kagamihara Nadeshiko”, Toyosaki Aki as “Inuyama Aoi”, Hara Sayuri as “Oogaki Chiaki”, and Takahashi Rie as “Saitou Ena”. According to the anime website, “The five people who gather under the vast grassland are a little more mature than the girls so far. Mt. Fuji faces the depths of the mountains under the blue sky that seems to continue forever.”

The “Yuru Camp Movie” was initially announced in 2018 with the second season of the series and a concept visual drawn by director Yoshiaki Gyougoku was released in May 2021. The anime film is set after the events of the second season with a slight time jump. In addition to returning director Yoshiaki Gyougoku from the series, the script will be by Jin Tanaka and Mutsumi Ito, with character design by Mutsumi Sasaki, production by DeNA and animation production by C-Station. Shochiku is distributing the film.

“Laid-Back Camp” (Yuru Camp) Season 1 was released in January 2018 and Season 2 was released in January 2021. Both seasons were simulcast on Crunchyroll and are currently available to stream in subtitles.

Crunchyroll Synopsis: Nadeshiko, a high school student who had moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to see the famous, 1000 yen-bill-featured Mount Fuji. Even though she manages to bike all the way to Motosu, she's forced to turn back because of worsening weather. Unable to set her eyes on her goal, she faints partway to her destination. When she wakes up, it's night, in a place she's never been before, with no way of knowing how to get home. Nadeshiko is saved when she encounters Rin, a girl who is out camping by herself. This outdoorsy girls story begins with this first encounter between Nadeshiko and Rin.

The anime is based on the manga by Afro, which was launched in Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in 2015. Yen Press publishes the manga in English and currently has 10 volumes available to purchase in print and digitally. Volume 11 is set to be released on April 26, 2022.

In addition, a new “Yuru Camp” mobile game was announced and is set to be released sometime in 2022. According to the game’s Twitter, additional details will be revealed in March 2022.
