“BanG Dream! Poppin’ Dream!” Anime Film Releases New Visual And Trailer

The “BanG Dream!” franchise released today a new visual and trailer for the upcoming movie “BanG Dream! Poppin’ Dream!”. The new anime film is set to be released in theaters January 1, 2022 in Japan.

The trailer previews the opening song "Poppin'Dream!" and the ending song "Hoshi no Kodou" (Rhythm of the Stars) by the band Poppin' Party.

“BanG Dream! Poppin’ Dream!” will continue the story from season 3 of the TV anime “BanG Dream!”. In the new trailer, Poppin'Party is seen traveling to Guam and you are treated to a glimpse of the newest girl band Morfonica.

The film’s official website teased the story saying, “Poppin'Party, Roselia, and RAISE A SUILEN, held their Budokan live concert successfully. A mysterious woman appears in front of Kasumi and the others, who have still basked in the afterglow of standing on the stage of their dreams. Their next stage will be overseas!? Poppin'Party's music will never stop!”

The cast and staff from the anime are set to return for the film. The anime stars Aimi Terakawa as “Kasumi Toyama”, Sae Ootsuka as “Tae Hanazono”, Rimi Nishimoto as “Rimi Ushigome”, Ayaka Ohashi as “Saaya Yamabuki”, and Ayasa Itō as “Arisa Ichigaya”.

The “BanG Dream!” franchise is a multimedia project by Bushiroad launched in 2015 that includes anime, manga, music and a mobile game.

“BanG Dream!” Season 1 premiered in January 2017 in Japan and was simulcast on Crunchyroll in the US. Season 2 premiered in January 2019 in Japan and was simulcast on both Crunchyroll and HIDIVE after Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime. Seasons 1 and 2 can be currently streamed on Crunchyroll and HIDIVE.

Season 3 of “BanG Dream!” premiered in January 2020 and was simulcast on HIDIVE and is currently available to stream. All 3 seasons plus the first film are available to purchase on Blu-ray.

The BanG Dream! franchise also recently released on Eventive two films focusing on the "Roselia" in-story band called “BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia I: Promise” and “BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia II : Song I am.”.

In addition, The anime concert film “BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage” was recently released on September 18, 2021 on Eventive.
